The Top 10 Most Undervalued Vintage Baseball Cards

For this month’s Bonkers Cards Club exclusive, I wanted to write about cards and players that I believe deserve more attention by the broader hobby and vintage sports card market.

In this post I also decided to only use cards from the POST-WAR era, meaning I did not include any cards from iconic sets such as the 1933 Goudey, T206, and other pre-war tobacco sets. The vintage baseball category is so big, and I will likely write another piece like this in the future that covers the Pre-War cards and players in more depth.

When I talk about undervalued cards, I’m looking at a number of different factors outside of just the straight value of the card. I’m also looking at the legacies of some of these players that shaped the game — players who broke barriers, anchored dynasties, or redefined greatness. Some players on this list have strong stats but quiet hobby demand. Others were the guy in their era but remain surprisingly underpriced in today’s market. These ten cards I believe offer some long-term growth potential for any investor or collector that might want to stray off from the typical likes of 1952 Mantles or Willie Mays rookie cards.

I also include in this list the going rate for what a solid example of the card, in PSA 4 condition is currently going for. Please note that this blog post should not be considered investment advice, and only reflects my personal opinions.
